About us
The Booklovers Club Warringah began in 1953, when a small group of young mothers met in a private home in Collaroy where they shared and discussed books. Over the years the club grew larger and in 1962 moved to Berry Hall, Narrabeen (see Map), where a permanent library was established. You can watch a video outlining some of this fascinating history HERE.
In 2016 our Club’s name was changed to The Booklovers Club Northern Beaches Inc. We are a non-government not-for-profit club, entirely run by volunteers. Currently we have over 80 members, who come from a wide variety of backgrounds but who all share a passion for books and reading.
We hold monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 11am, with talks by guest authors. A subsidiary group meets for lively book discussions on the fourth Tuesday of each month, also at 11am. These discussions are led by individual members and facilitated by our Librarian.
Our Library is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10am to 12 noon. A wide range of both fiction and non-fiction books are available to members. You can browse our library's book catalogue HERE.
We publish a monthly Bulletin which details our current activities. You can read the last two Bulletins HERE.
